Editorial Policy

Published and last reviewed July 11, 2026

This policy explains how the Halalytic Editorial Team prepares educational content and how readers can evaluate its evidence, limitations, and potential conflicts.

Purpose and scope

We publish practical Islamic finance education and data-driven research that supports, but does not replace, advice from qualified scholars, licensed financial professionals, lawyers, or tax professionals. Screening outcomes are analytical results, not fatwas or investment recommendations.

Sources and evidence

We prefer primary sources: standards bodies, regulatory filings, issuer and provider documents, official fund pages, company investor materials, legislation, and recognized hadith or Quranic references where relevant. Material date-sensitive claims should identify the source or link readers to the underlying methodology and data.

Automation and AI assistance

Software and AI may assist with calculations, data organization, research, drafting, or consistency checks. Before new or materially updated content is published, we check its internal consistency, source links, dates, and alignment with the stated methodology. Automation is disclosed where it is central to the result, and automated Shariah screens always carry a scholar-review limitation.

Authorship and review

“Halalytic Editorial Team” is an organizational byline for collaboratively researched and maintained content. We do not imply that this byline is a scholar, licensed adviser, or legal professional. Individual contributors or external reviewers will be named only when their identity, role, and relevant credentials can be represented accurately.

Updates and corrections

We use publication and modification dates to distinguish new work from substantive updates. Market data and compliance statuses can change between reviews. If a factual error is identified, we correct it promptly and materially revise the modification date when the substance of a page changes.

Commercial independence

Commercial relationships do not determine screening verdicts or editorial conclusions. If Halalytic receives compensation through an affiliate relationship or sponsorship, the relevant page or link should disclose it. Research pages may discuss providers or funds without a commercial relationship.

Corrections and questions

Send correction requests with the page URL, disputed statement, and supporting source. We review good-faith reports and update the page when the evidence warrants it.
