About us
About Halalytic
Halalytic helps Muslims research financial decisions with transparent data, practical calculators, and clearly stated limitations. Our goal is to make Islamic finance information easier to inspect, compare, and verify.
What we build
The platform includes AAOIFI-based stock screening, halal ETF research, zakat calculators, Islamic inheritance calculations, mortgage comparisons, and estate-planning tools. Educational content connects those tools to primary sources and explains how each result was produced.
How we approach Shariah questions
Our stock screener automates business-activity checks and the AAOIFI 30/30/5 financial ratios. Automation can make the evidence easier to review, but it cannot issue a fatwa or replace a qualified scholar. Borderline cases, mixed business activities, and personal circumstances need human judgment.
Read the screening methodologyTransparency over certainty
Financial statements, market values, fund holdings, provider terms, and scholarly interpretations can change. We date material snapshots, link important claims to sources, distinguish screening results from investment merit, and publish corrections when we find an error.
